Jeremiah 1:4-7 The word of the Lord came to me thus: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you. "Ah, Lord God!" I said, "I know not how to speak; I am too young." But the Lord answered me, Say not, "I am too young. "To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak."

Luke 1:37-38 ".for nothing will be impossible for God." Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.

Mark 1:16-18 As he passed by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting their nets into the sea; they were fisherman. Jesus said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Then they left their nets and followed him.

John 21:15-17; 19b When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." [Jesus] said to him, "Feed my sheep." And when he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me."

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."

9. Announce the Second Mystery; then pray the "Our Father." Repeat 6, 7, and 8 and continue with the Third, fourth and fifth Mysteries in the same manner.

10. Pray the "Hail Holy Queen" after the five decades are completed.

As a general rule, depending on the season, the joyful Mysteries are prayed on Monday and Saturday; the Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday and Friday; the Glorious Mysteries on Wednesday and Sunday; and the Luminous Mysteries on Thursday.

As we pray the Rosary for vocations keep in mind this special intention:

"We pray, God of hope, that you will continue to call women and men to serve your church as sisters, brothers, priests and deacons."
