Opening School Mass with Bishop Cote at Xavier High School in Middletown

Yesterday I had the priviledge to concelebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit with Bishop Cote at the Opening of School Mass for Xavier High School in Middletown. I was honored to be the chaplain at Xavier from 1998 through 2007 and during the past six years have continued to visit the school monthly to hear confessions and visit with faculty and students. Each of the past six years I have also tried to assist both Xavier and Mercy High School by offering their school Masses on Holy Day's and for their baccalaureat celebrations. It is hard to believe that this most recent summer has come and gone but I continue to greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with the young people who are so yearning to come to know their faith and their Lord better. Please keep the students at all our schools this year in your prayers.
